The second event of the Digital Transformation solutions information and presentation cycle was successfully completed with the theme: "Digital Transformation of Businesses in EMT", organized by ena Development Consultants, supporting entity of the eMT cluster in collaboration with the Professional & Industrial Chamber of Rodopi, the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Rodopi and the technology companies that make up the eMT cluster.
The event took place on Thursday 16 June 2022, at the hospitable premises of the Rhodope Chamber of Commerce & Industry, in Komotini.
The General Secretary of the Rhodope Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mr. Pantelis Chaviaras, addressed the event and stressed that these informative events benefit the businesses of the region because they give practical guidelines in the application of technology in the operation of businesses and noted the lack of skills that must be addressed first and foremost. The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rhodope, Mr. Nikolaos Angelidis stressed that Digital Transformation is a one-way street for development, especially for the agri-food and manufacturing sectors. Welcoming the work of the eMT Cluster, he noted that as the region's businesses are small they can only benefit from collaborative schemes where different skills can be combined, exchange know-how and enhance the extroversion actions that our Region needs.
Also, the President of the 1st Regional Department of Thrace of the Economic Chamber of Greece, Mr. Paschalis Draganidis, as well as the President of the Regional Department of Thrace of the Technical Chamber of Greece, Mr. Dimitrios Lourikas, greeted and honoured the event with their presence.
Then there was a presentation of the object and the way in which the businesses of the Region of EMT, can benefit from the innovations that the ecosystem of technologies of the eMT cluster, the first collaborative Innovation & Technology cluster in the Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace, by the Project Manager of the project, Mr. Stelios Kotopoulos.
The event was attended by four (4) of the companies that make up the eMT cluster, which had the opportunity to get in touch with the business community of the Komotini region and to present the digital transformation solutions that they develop in the context of their participation in the eMT cluster.
More specifically, the following companies participated with their representatives:
Explicit.ai: Its founder, Ms. Georgia Papadopoulou, referred to the company's goal, which is to empower primary livestock production with new precision technologies to increase productivity and facilitate processes. She presented the PreLive solution a decision making platform, which is currently operating in an experimental environment, the iWeightApp application, a tool for estimating the weight of productive animals from mobile devices, as well as what the company will develop in the context of its participation in the eMT cluster, concerning the milk supply chain and traceability.
Apt Information Systems: its General Manager, Mr. George Deyannis presented the solutions and products offered by the company, with emphasis on the digital transformation platform addAPT. addAPT facilitates the interoperability of various information systems and applications that a company may have and supports the integrated digital operation from order to production and vice versa. The addAPT platform finds application in the Public Sector, Primary Sector, Industrial Sector, Maritime Sector and also in the Construction Sector.
SEEMS: The co-founder and member of its Advisory Board, Mr. Petros Soukoulias presented the digital transformation solutions in industrial production, in which the company has been specializing for the last 5 years, with emphasis on the presentation of the aRTi - D corporate solution. aRTi - D is an integrated hardware and software solution of artificial intelligence and industrial internet of things for the utilization of industrial data, in real time, in the process of decision making and control of their implementation. Its fields of application include the food & beverage industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the energy sector, the paper industry, construction companies, etc.
ena Development Consultants, supporting entity of the eMT cluster, was represented by its co-founder and Director of Coordination & Development, Mr. Stavros Amoiras, who, after a brief reference to the presence and role of ena as a development pole in the Region of EMT, presented the available financial tools that can be used by businesses to support innovation and entrepreneurship.
The event was moderated by the founder of Ten06 and Strategic Planning Manager of the eMT cluster, Mr. Giorgos Papastamatiou, who with his targeted explanations and the key questions he posed to the speakers, helped the event to run smoothly.
At the end of the event, the participants had the opportunity to discuss individual issues related to the digital transformation of their businesses with the speakers, the representatives of the eMT cluster and the participating member companies, while enjoying a variety of culinary delicacies and fine local wines.
