The third event of the Digital Transformation solutions information and presentation cycle was successfully completed with the theme: "Digital Transformation of Businesses in EMT", organized by ena Development Consultants, supporting entity of the eMT cluster in collaboration with the Chamber of Kavala and the technology companies that make up the eMT cluster.
The event took place on Wednesday 22 June 2022, at the Chamber of Kavala.
Greetings were given by the Chamber of Kavala and the Chamber's Entrepreneurship & Innovation Support Structure, Kick-iT, on behalf of Kavala’s Chamber by the Head of G.E.MI. of the Chamber, Mr. Ioannis Koutras and the Director of the Chamber, Ms. Suzi Mavrommati, respectively.
Then, the Project Manager of the project, Mr. Stelios Kotopoulos, presented the scope and innovations of the eMT cluster, the first collaborative Innovation & Technology cluster in the Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace.
The event was attended by five (5) of the companies that make up the eMT cluster, which had the opportunity to get in touch with the business world of the Kavala region and to present the digital transformation solutions they are developing in the context of their participation in the eMT cluster.
More specifically, the following companies participated with their representatives:
OTS SA: The business development consultant of OTS SA, Mr. Yannis Ramphos, focused his presentation on smart city systems and the possibilities they create for the smooth operation of the city. On network management systems and important information such as traffic in parking lots, water levels in rivers and streams, etc. While he presented in a live broadcast a similar system developed by OTS for the Municipality of Rethymnon.
Vertitech: The CEO of the company, Mr. Nikolaos Nikou presented the profile of Vertitech and the Classter training software for large educational institutions. He then referred to the company's significant development in international markets on all continents, highlighting that all activity is done from Kavala, thus providing a truly brilliant example of what appropriate business methodology and technology can offer.
Alpha Plan Consultants: The General Manager of the company, Mr. Kleovoulos Alexiadis, presented his company's products to facilitate businesses in the utilization of programs and digital transformation, while he also referred to the issues that arise for SMEs when they participate in subsidized programs and how they can be addressed. Mr Alexiadis also stressed the importance of cooperation between SMEs in clusters for their survival and growth and the need for digital transformation of their processes with the help of initiatives such as the eMT cluster and the support of bodies such as Chambers and their structures.
GeoSense: Dimitris Ramnalis presented the services and products related to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and their indicative uses in a very wide range of applications such as: the collection of data from crops in the context of digital agriculture, the monitoring of inaccessible areas for protection or natural disaster research purposes, the supervision/monitoring of inaccessible buildings (such as refinery blast furnaces or mobile antennas) while he also analyzed the extremely high utility of drones in the sectors of economy and science.
MyIP Networks: present with their representative at the event was the company MyIP Networks, which is active in the field of web hosting & web applications, the provision of Security Certificates and generally in the field of Datacenter services.
ena Development Consultants, supporting entity of the eMT cluster, was represented by its co-founder and Director of Coordination & Development, Mr. Stavros Amοiras, who, after a brief reference to the presence and role of ena as a development pole in the Region of EMT, presented the available financial tools that can be used by businesses to support innovation and entrepreneurship.
The event was moderated by the founder of Ten06 and Strategic Planning Manager of the eMT cluster, Mr. Giorgos Papastamatiou, who with his targeted explanations and the key questions he posed to the speakers, contributed greatly to the smooth running of the event.
At the end of the event, the participants had the opportunity to discuss individual issues related to the digital transformation of their businesses with the speakers, the representatives of the eMT cluster and the participating member companies, while enjoying a variety of culinary delicacies and fine wines.
